The University is currently recruiting for a shared Administrative Assistant for Student Life (.75) and the Business/Accounting/Communication/Computer Science/Sport Management/Digital Studies academic department (.25). The position is forty hours per week and is benefit eligible. This position reports to the vice president for student life and the academic department chair. Duties include, but not limited to, preparing reports, scheduling meetings, overseeing the University ID card system, maintaining the Student and Parent Handbooks, data entry, helping to coordinate annual traditions and University awards selection process, coordinate prospective student visits with faculty, prepare contracts, organize class syllabus, and manage FaceBook, LinkedIn and Instagram sites.


Three to five years of related administrative experience is required. A Bachelor's degree and experience in a higher education setting is preferred. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel. This position will support and interact with students, parents/family members and the student life team, and faculty, therefore, flexibility, strong collaboration, teamwork, patience, professionalism and customer service skills are required. The position also requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
